Carrie Biesiadecki, Teacher
Carrie Biesiadecki lives in Colfax, NC with her husband and young daughter. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Columbus State University where she studied voice. Since graduating, Carrie has taught music in both the public and private school settings, directed church choir, taught private voice lessons, and participated in local performance groups. Most recently, Carrie is a stay-at-home mother and the soprano section leader for the Piedmont Chamber Singers of Winston-Salem, NC. Carrie is very excited to spend time with your family at Half-Pint Harmonies. She loves watching how music builds relationships, gives confidence, and fosters beautiful imaginations!
Ashley Hall, Teacher
Ashley Hall lives in Winston Salem, NC with her husband and two children. Ashley has a Bachelor’s degree in trumpet performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and an Artist Diploma from the Longy School of Music. Ashley has performed all over the world as a trumpet soloist, orchestral and chamber musician. As an educator, Ashley has held collegiate teaching positions at the University of Dayton, St. Olaf College and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She has always been active with educational programming for children. From developing an Art and Music Presentation for the public schools in Ohio, to presenting in-school music concerts, or teaching private lessons, education has been key to maintaining the joy and why of the music she performs. Since having children of her own, Ashley has become more passionate about the early childhood music programs offered in our area and is thrilled to be a part of the Half Pint Harmonies team.
Megan Makeever Ali, Teacher
Megan Makeever Ali is very excited to be joining the Half Pint Harmonies team! Megan lives a three-pronged life as a music educator, professional flautist, and singer/songwriter. As an educator, she has experience teaching all age groups in private and group settings. She has directed children's choir, taught Montessori music classes, teaches private flute and piano lessons, and has taught a handful of college music classes as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and now professor. Currently, she is the flute professor and Assistant Band Director at High Point University, as well as the flute instructor at the Music Academy of North Carolina.
As a professional flautist, Megan has performed with various professional ensembles throughout North Carolina and Montana. She is also an award-winning singer/songwriter who has released three original albums of meaningful and soulful music.
Megan holds a Bachelors of Music Performance degree from St. Olaf College and a Masters of Music Performance degree from University of Montana. When she is not performing, teaching or writing music, she loves to play tennis, practice yoga, snuggle with her dog, and hang out with her friends and husband.
